In Dora Bassi’s last works, created between the late 1990s and early 2000s, everyday objects acquire a dreamy levity: a sort of dream-like transparency where expressionism, inspired by Munch and easily perceived in the previous decade, makes room for suggestions inspired by Turner and Rothko.
